Lake Oconee will usher in the 2012 Holiday Season with the Festival of Trees on Saturday, November 17. This second annual holiday festival is sponsored by the local board of the Boys and Girls Club of Greene County.
Proceeds go to the operations of the Greene County Boys and Girls Club whose goal is that each member will graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st century career. The club provides a safe place for members to spend time during non-school hours.
The Festival of Trees will be open to the public from 9 AM until 5 PM on November 17 at the Greensboro Festival Hall in downtown Greensboro. It is a great place to start your holiday preparations by purchasing gifts and/or decorations from the assortment of permanent, decorated trees and wreaths. The Holiday Bazaar Vendors will be ready with displays of special gifts and stocking stuffers. And best of all, there will be wonderful entertainment throughout the entire day.
There is a special Santa’s Secret Shop complete with helping “elves” for the little ones to shop for gifts for the family. Even Mrs. Santa Claus will make an appearance.
Tickets for the Festival of Trees can be purchased at the door for
Adults: $5.00
Youth: (8-18) $3.00
Children may attend free of charge.
